Scarr’s has solidly good pizza and couple of unique aspects. They mill their own flour in the basement. The have a retro bar in the back. Most pizzarias don’t have liquor licenses, these guys have an evening following (Thursday night is party night in NYC) for people who want to hang out with 80’s music on the boom box and have some pizza with their beer and booze.
Very confident on what they serve. High quality ingredients, “cupped” pepperoni, which is very stylish.
That’s a grandma pepperoni slice on the left, and a sicilian pepperoni on the right. It’s very good pizza, the crust is quite tasty. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s worth a stop by.
There is a wannabe retro-80’s bar in the back.
